Which One of these are metaphors?

I need answers quick, so please help me.

Here are the sentances; Please tell me if any of them are Metaphors

For my dowry I began to embroider a quilt, making all of my worries stitches.

I heard mom and dad talking together so late in the night that the moon slid up and down in the sky.

They were solid sliver, and so heavy that when I tried them on, I was afraid my ears would stretch to the size of an elephants.

this is the metaphor!

ty LB : )
Reply:The first one is a metaphor. It is a recognizable comparison between two objects, ie. worries and stitches, dowry and quilt.

The second one isn't, since nothing is actually getting compared, even indirectly.

The last one is not a metaphor, even though there is a comparison. This is because objects/actions are not getting compared, but adjectives(normal size-elephant's size).

a metophor is comparing two words using without usind like or as
Reply:the first one is a metaphor
Reply:I think the 1st one is the metaphor
Reply:The first one is a metaphor. A metaphor is when you say something IS something else. When you use the word "like" then you have a simile.
Reply:I think they're all similes.
