she wants water lillies, I want elephant ears, and we both want black roses. I'm welling to change the elephant ears out for something else as long as its not to pretty and is really green to give it a natural look, its not going be in a church so we don't have to worry about that. if so it would be in a satanic church.
please no comments on what we want, we just want to know the best way to organize them
My girlfriend and I both agreed on 3 flowers for our wedding, how do you think they should be organized.?
Why don't you have all 3 Flowers in one bouquet!! Wow a satanic wedding I never been to one! Congrats!! And Best Of Luck!! And OBTW I was wondering what ever happened to all the black roses! Now I know!!
Reply:Elephant ears, Then lilies then your black roses.

Must have something pretty?????
Reply:Put the elephant ears on the out side then water lillie, then one black rose. Good Luck.
Reply:Great choice, very dramatic. If you are talking center pieces, make them low, using a container of your choice tie in a floral green block (the kind that holds water) put the large leaves laying down then you can put the water lilies in next and in the center a few black roses, could also tuck in some ribbon, now if you are using the same for bouquet's, use one leaf, three or four lilies and one or two roses then tie them up with the color ribbon of your choice, for the brides I would use less lilies and more roses to make them a little different, I think if you tie them with black or white ribbon it would be great. If the elephant ears turn out to be to large try using something like a Chinese Evergreen.
Good Luck and Best Wishes to You and Your Fiance'.
Reply:Get bowls for the water lilies (they should be wide not deep) and then surround them with the 'elephant ears' as 'wrappings' with the black roses (which are actually a very dark red) on the outside of that at intervals ... if you use a water lily which has some 'pink' and some 'green' in it (yes, they do have them but you may have to go to a 'water plants' store to get them and you'll need to order them at least 2 months ahead of time) it will look like a 'beautiful flower' being 'imprisoned' by the green leaves and 'black' flowers ... and since that is at least one way to look at a marriage, I think it's a good way to 'organize' ... to keep the elephant ears and roses fresh, you could put everything into a larger and deeper vase, or you could get the 'test tube' type water containers and put one on each stem, separately.
Reply:I think you should replace the elephant ears with Ivy. It looks good and isn't too "pretty". Good luck with the planning.
Reply:Elephant ears might be a bit big, however I think that the water lillies and black roses would look wonderful with something very green. Maybe banana leaves, they are big, but longer. Also you might want to check hostas. Congrats!
