If you was a mighty king and had 12,000 war elephants.....?

If you was a king of say some where in asia and had 12,000 war elephants at your disposel. What would you do to make them superior using the current technology of that time but using what you know now?



I would blind them like with horse blinders and train them to move at the drivers response. Give them full chainmail armor that even covers the belly and still hangs. I would also clog their trunks and ears before battle so they can't hear sounds of pigs and can't smell blood. I would do everything to keep them powerful but yet not run amok. I would still supply the driver with a hammer and stake.



What would you do?

wonder how I was going to feed 12,000 elephants, and how I was going to make that many elephants do anything!

Reply:I would make sure that I had 12,000 pooper-scooper troops following them to cleanup the tons of elephant poop. It is the only environmentally-friendly way to run that war.

Reply:Personally, I'd avoid going to war in the first place.
