I have three pictures that I need to identify and I can't find anything anywhere!
One looks like a dragon with four bird talons. It's up on two legs and has a small head with a forked tongue sticking out...
The second picture is of what looks like a fish with an elephant's head. instead of ears there are fins and it has short legs and feet. It also has sharp teeth and looks aggressive.
The third one looks like a seal with a dragon's tail(no fin) and two large, extended fish fins that almost look like tiny wings instead of its front fins. This creature is also blowing what looks like steam from its nose.
Sorry if these are bad descriptions and thank you sooooo much for the help! :-)
Identifying Mythical Creatures...???
Good luck.

Reply:The first one could be a griffin. The other two sound like the kind of exotic creatures that you see in medieval maps and manuscripts.
Sometimes they had to draw real animals that lived in distant lands based only on vague descriptions, so they took their best guess. So, perhaps the second is supposed to be a crocodile, and the 3rd a flying fish?
Reply:Makara is half animal half fish and it is sometimes described as having the head of an elephant and the body of a fish. It is generally large and regarded as living in the ocean rather than in lakes or streams.
That is from wiki - got by googling.
Reply:The first sounds like a wyvern, it is the result of a cock and snake mating in western Europe, it is suppose to be more vicious than a dragon.
As for the second and third, IDK.
Reply:You might find better answers on the Myths Section..or maybe you can ask these guys on this website.

Reply:The first one could be a Basilisk if it has a forked tongue.
Reply:You don't have any pics by any chance? First one sounds like a Griffen.
