since the heart beat of an elephant is rather slow since it is the largest land mammal it would take almost 4 hours of a heart that is at rest to pass through its ears.the heart of an elephant beats 25 times a minute compared to a human whose rate is higher from 68 to 72 at rest.

hi elephants are big creatures on the earth(dwelling on land) ,waving of the ears cools the body and circulation takes places the flow of blood cannot be judged exactly

Reply:Can't say about it with certainty.Please specify whether African or Indian elephant(others also).Also I have never bothered to count the hours or min. in which the blood flows through the elephants ears because it is impossible to hold the elephant for such a long time to measure the rate of flow of blood.
