What should my college neighbor do?

I have a college neighbor who has a roommate who enjoys putting him down and making him cry. He told me that it costs me $50 more a week because he has to buy out breakfast and dinner because his roommate throws away his food because he does not offer him any. He also cuffs him in the head, stings his ear and neck with rubber band, and hits him with water balloons. He also greets him with degrading names such as fatso, four eye, loser, and ugly boy even in public in front of other people to embarass him. He also makes fun of the way he eat and compare him to huge animals such as pig, whale, and elephant when he eats.
What should my college neighbor do?

1 Blessed is the man

who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers.



2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

Reply:Your neighbor needs to stand up to his tormenter or find a new place to live. Not saying to run from the problem, but it would be a waste of time to try and reason with such a person. This semester is about over he has made it for thirteen weeks four more and it will be over with.
Reply:Talk to your RA to see about getting a room change or at least telling him to be a little more courteous. Geez, he put up with this all year? There's always free counseling on college campuses, maybe they can help, not with the living arrangements but the emotional turmoil he's going through. If he simply can't take it anymore, hide a joint in his stuff and rat him out. That's probably not the best solution, but maybe someone can think of something better. (I'm assuming you live in a dorm, or why else would he live with someone so unbearable.) As for the food thing, maybe you could keep it for him.
